Nando’s is giving away free chicken this Thursday.

Nando’s Peri-Peri in Dupont Circle reopened their doors last month after closing for renovations two months ago. To celebrate, the restaurant will be giving away chicken for free during lunchtime this Thursday.

Faithful Nando’s fans can choose either a free quarter chicken, or chicken sandwich, wrap, or pita (one per person). Anyone who ventures to the Dupont location will have the opportunity to grab a free entree, whether dine in or carry out, on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests have the option to pay for sides or drinks.

Since closing for renovations, the restaurant now features a new kitchen, draft beer taps, and redesigned dining areas. For takeout orders, there’s a new grab-and-go beverage refrigerator and an order pick-up area near the host stand.

As a nod to the very first Nando’s in South Africa, which opened in 1987, the Dupont location now includes handmade furniture, lighting, and new original art pieces from South Africa. Due in part to the Nando’s Art Project, which invests in South African art, the international franchise now claims to have the largest collection of contemporary art from the country in the world.

Nando’s Peri-Peri’s giveaway takes place at the Dupont location (1210 18th St. NW) on Thursday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
