We’re coming up on the second weekend that Metro is pausing daytime weekend track work for cherry blossom season, so enjoy this while it lasts. But keep in mind that the transit agency is resuming repairs—and adjusting train schedules accordingly—at night. With the exception of the Red and Silver lines, all other trains will single track after 10 p.m. this weekend to allow Metro to continue rail repairs. The Orange and Blue lines are undergoing rail and fastener renewal, and Metro is still installing communication equipment and a new radio system on the Yellow and Green lines.
Additionally, the Silver Line will only travel with regular service between Wiehle-Reston East and Ballston because of repairs to the Orange and Blue lines. Metro suggests riders traveling to and from other stations should use the Orange or Blue lines.

Silver Line:
- Regular service until 10:00 p.m.
- 10:00 p.m. until close, regular service levels between Wiehle-Reston East and Ballston only
From 10:00 p.m. until close, Silver Line trains will operate between Wiehle-Reston East and Ballston only as a result of scheduled maintenance on the Orange and Blue lines.
Customers traveling to/from other stations should use Orange and/or Blue line trains to complete their trip. At Ballston, transfer between Silver and Orange line trains on the same platform.
Blue Line:

Yellow Line:
- Regular service
From 10:00 p.m. until close, Yellow Line trains will single track between L’Enfant Plaza and Pentagon City for the installation of cable/communication equipment to support cellular service in tunnels and new radio system.
Green Line:

From 10:00 p.m. until close, Green Line trains will single track between L’Enfant Plaza and Navy Yard for the installation of cable/communication equipment to support cellular service in tunnels and new radio system.
