A man was arrested Wednesday morning for allegedly secretly filming 81 men partially or completely nude at Spa World in Centreville, a popular Korean-style spa and bath house frequented by people in the D.C. area, several outlets have reported.
Twenty-eight-year-old Kwame Anderson of Newport News, Va., was allegedly taking the surreptitious videos with a hidden cell phone and selling some of them online, the Washington Post reports. Police managed to find him via his IP address. Anderson was not an employee of Spa World, but a customer.
The videos were discovered when one of the victims logged onto a social media website and saw a nude video of himself apparently secretly taken at Spa World, the Post reports. His discovery kickstarted an investigation that eventually unearthed more than 150 videos showing 81 men in various states of undress at Spa World—three of the victims were minors, according to the outlet.
Police also reportedly found another 84 videos of men taken in unknown locations.
Anderson has been charged with felony unlawful filming of a minor, misdemeanor unlawful filming of an adult, and unlawful dissemination of the videos, reports the Post.
This isn’t the first time Spa World has been embroiled in public scandal. In 2013, a transgender woman accused Spa World of kicking her out when she tried to use the women’s locker room. A year later, the owner was accused of failing to pay wages to his staff and preventing employees from leaving the spa.
