The Judiciary Square Metro station

Well, it’s been a beautiful four weeks. For nearly a whole month now, Metro has paused its weekend track work schedule, giving us regular, dependable service to deal with the cherry blossom crowds.

Alas, all good things must come to an end. This is the last weekend of regular daytime service on Metro (at least, the last one due to cherry blossom crowding specifically). We’ll likely be back to more track work next weekend, meaning delayed train schedules, single tracking, and the occasional closed station or two. Then, in late May, we’ll have to prepare for the Blue and Yellow line’s monthslong partial shutdown.

But let’s cross that bridge when we come to it. This weekend, enjoy the mostly normal Metro schedule—every line is running regular service during the day, while the Red, Silver, and Green lines will be slightly more complicated after 10 p.m.
