This weekend, almost every line on Metro will run slow and the Blue Line will give everyone a particular headache.
To accomodate for track work on that line, Metro is closing the Arlington Cemetery station this weekend. If you have to get to the Pentagon station, the transit service is providing a free shuttle bus.
In more complicated news, Metro is rerouting Blue Line trains to run from Franconia-Springfield to Greenbelt (almost exactly like a Yellow Line train) to allow for the work at Arlington Cemetery. If you need to get to Benning Road, Capitol Heights, Addison Road, Morgan Boulevard, or Largo Town Center, you’ll have to take a Silver Line train.
Both Blue and Yellow lines are running every 20 minutes this weekend, the Silver Line is running every 14 minutes, the Orange Line is running every 18 minutes, and the Red Line is running every eight minutes for most of the day. The Green line is running normal weekend service.
