You made it through the Fourth of July! Now prepare for a hot and humid weekend with scattered storms. Here’s what’s happening around D.C.

FRIDAY, JULY 5

MORE MONEY: Bring a blanket as the outdoor Rosslyn Cinema outdoor movie festival continues with a screening of Crazy Rich Asians. The film begins at dusk, but arrive early for cornhole, Giant Jenga, and ping-pong. (Arlington Gateway Park, 5 p.m., FREE)

NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: Spend the night at the National Museum of American History. Summertime Smithsonian Sleepovers are underway, and this weekend is your opportunity to camp out, craft, and solve a “crime” with the family before you get some shut eye in the museum. (National Museum of American History, 7 p.m. check in, $120 general admission/$100 members)

NO CRYING IN BASEBALL: If you’re into the idea of an outdoor movie but would prefer the comfort of air conditioning, stay in your car for Union Market’s monthly drive-in movie series. This month’s film: A League of Their Own. No car? No problem. Walk-ups are free. (Union Market, 8:55 p.m., $15 per car)

SATURDAY, JULY 6

WHAT’S GOIN’ ON: Written by and starring Kelvin Roston Jr., Twisted Melodies follows the story of 70s soul legend Donny Hathaway’s last day before his death in 1979. The show at Mosaic Theater Company is a co-production with The Baltimore Center Stage, Congo Square Theatre Company, and The Apollo Theater. Saturday and Sunday have both matinees and evening performances; the production continues through July 21. (Mosaic Theater, 3 p.m. and 8 p.m., $20+)

CATURDAY: No, you can’t bring your feline friend to the park, but this weekend, join the Caturday fun as the Kansas City Royals take on the Washington Nationals. Your special ticket includes a limited edition cat-themed shirts; proceeds from the day will help benefit the Humane Rescue Alliance. (Nationals Parks, 4:05 p.m., $16+)

PROUD: Story District celebrates Pride with Out/Spoken. Hosted by Rayceen Perdavis of The Ask Rayceen Show, the ninth anniversary show shares stories of the LGBTQ+ community and features Charles W. McCaffrey, Beverly White, Tamar Gasko, Shannon England, Wifty Bangura, and Charlotte Clymer. (9:30 Club, 8 p.m., $25)

TRIWIZARD TOURNAMENT: Pack a picnic of butterbeer and Chocolate Frogs and head to Wolf Trap. This weekend, you can watch Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire on a big screen under the stars as the National Symphony Orchestra performs the score. There’s also a performance on Friday night. OM MOMENT: Why settle for a studio when you can do yoga on an art installation. The National Building Museum’s summertime full-scale installation, LAWN, has arrived. Enjoy an all-level vinyasa flow at Yoga on the Lawn. (National Building Museum, 10 a.m., $25)

ARTISTIC LIBERTY: Back for its third year, the DC Art Book Fair convenes small presses and independent sellers of zines, comics, prints, and books. The event, part of the museum’s free community day, is organized by the DC Art Book Collective. (National Museum of Women in the Arts, 12 p.m.-5 p.m., free entry)

GO FOR GOLD: Watch the U.S. take on the Netherlands in the Women’s World Cup finals at The Wharf. The game begins at 11 a.m. ET; enjoy food and refreshments on the patios of nearby Kirwan’s on the Wharf, Kaliwa, Pearl Street Warehouse, and Lupo Marino. (The Wharf, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., free entry)
