In recent years, John Mayer—you know, “Your Body Is a Wonderland”—has undergone a bit of a transformation, touring behind the Grateful Dead’s catalog as Dead & Company. Earlier this spring, 22-year-old British artist Nilüfer Yanya released her debut record Miss Universe, an album that leapfrogs across genres with expressive lyrics and powerful vocals throughout. She’s joined by Londoners Pixx and Lucy Lu at U Street Music Hall. 6:30 p.m. $18+. All ages, venue accessible.

Back on the road after cancelling tour stops in 2018 following cancer surgery, master storyteller Elvis Costello released his latest album, Look Now, a collection of songs from a variety of different points of view last fall.
