Summer is quickly coming to a close, with the number of daylight hours steadily getting shorter, and the city’s public outdoor pools beginning to close for the season.
The first wave of closures will be this Sunday at 6 p.m., with six pools shuttering across the District, according to the Department of Parks and Recreation. From there, a handful will close each Sunday for the remainder of the month. By 6 p.m. on Labor Day, all outdoor pools will be closed. Meanwhile, the city’s spray parks will stay open through Labor Day.
