If you were looking forward to a worry-free Metro experience this weekend after the end of the Blue and Yellow line shutdown, think again: two stations on the Red Line will be closed.
The transit agency is completing “leak mitigation” work on the line this weekend, which will close down both the Bethesda and Medical Center stations. Free shuttle buses will travel from Grosvenor to Friendship Heights to make up for the closures.
Lucky for us, the rest of the lines are running a normal weekend schedule this Saturday and Sunday. Unlucky for us, that’s still a lot slower than it would be during the week: you can expect trains every 12 to 15 minutes.
