CUT LOOSE: No Kevin Bacon at this production of Footloose, but expect to hear some of the movie-turned-musical’s most enduring numbers at the Kennedy Center’s Broadway Center Stage presentation. BIDI BIDI BOM BOM: It’s been almost 15 years since the death of Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, but the legacy of the Queen of Tejano Music lives on. The Smithsonian Latino Center and the National Museum of American History host a Selena screening and party featuring live music and cumbia lessons. (Smithsonian Theaters, 6:30 p.m. party, 8 p.m. film, $36)

GOAL: Between MLB and WNBA postseason and the return of the NHL and NBA, there’s plenty happening in the world of professional sports. If you’re more a soccer spectator, you’re in luck: The U.S. men’s national team takes on Cuba as part of CONCACAF Nations League play on Friday. (Audi Field, 7 p.m., $24+)

ON DISPLAY: Intersections: Los Carpinteros features the work of the Cuban artists Marco Castillo and Dagoberto Rodríguez for the first time since the collective’s separation in summer 2018. SONGS ON THE LAWN: Produced by the Capitol Hill Jazz Foundation, the annual Hillfest concert follows a weeklong music conference. Featuring headlining sets from Lori Williams and Rodney Whitaker, the daylong slate of music includes performances across two stages from more than 20 acts. (Garfield Park, 10 a.m.-8 p.m., FREE)

MUSIC MOMENT: Say farewell to summer festival season at the annual All Things Go festival. The weekend begins with a series of conversations at the Eaton on Friday at 7 p.m.; the festival portion features performances from CHVRCHES, MUNA, and Betty Who, plus food from &Pizza, Compass Coffee, and Shake Shack. TAKE A SIP: Now in its eighth year, Snallygaster continues to be a destination fest for beer enthusiasts. This year is no exception: Breweries both local (Aslin, Atlas, Bluejacket, and Red Bear) and far (Belgium’s 3 Fonteinen and Cantillon and Germany’s Weissenohe and Monchasmbacher, among others) will make an appearance. Though registration for Sunday’s long running Army Ten-Miler is sold out, you can still take in the expo at the DC Armory on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., or cheer along the iconic course. MUSEUM TIME: Alonso Berruguete: First Sculptor of Renaissance Spain marks the first large-scale installation outside Spain of the sculptor, featuring more than 40 works from the artist. With an extensive collection on loan from the Museo Nacional de Escultura in Valladolid, Spain, the exhibition continues through February 17, 2020. (National Gallery of Art, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., FREE)

UNWINDULAX: If your idea of a perfect night out includes a cheeseburger in paradise, slap on a pair of flops flops and a floral print Hawaiian shirt for Jimmy Buffett’s Escape to Margaritaville. Performances of the karaoke musical featuring Buffet’s discography happen all weekend long. (National Theatre, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., $54-$114)
