In case you hadn’t heard the bad news, it’s Bei Bei’s last weekend in the District. In order to replace track beds, WMATA is closing all the Metro stops surrounding the National Zoo: Cleveland Park, Woodley Park, and Dupont Circle. Fortunately, the transit agency will also be providing free shuttle buses directly to the zoo to help Bei Bei’s admirers bid him farewell.

Trains leaving Shady Grove will depart 30 minutes earlier on Saturday and 35 minutes earlier on Sunday to accommodate shuttle bus connections. At stations outside of the work zone, Red Line trains will come every six to eight minutes.

The Orange Line will run in two segments this weekend. Between Vienna and West Falls Church stations, Orange Line trains will run every 24 minutes on Saturday and every 30 minutes on Sunday. Riders will have to change trains at West Falls Church station. From West Falls Church station to New Carrollton station, trains will arrive every 12-15 minutes.

Some better news: The Silver, Blue, Yellow, and Green lines will be running regular service this weekend.
