The holiday season is fully in swing whether you want it to be or not, and that means lots of different activities to get you in the mood including a tree lighting, holiday tiki drinks, and a stunning light display. For Grinches, there’s also a thrilling basketball matchup, several book events, and more.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 2

CHAMPIONS: Look to relive the glory of the Washington Nationals and their World Series win? Then a new documentary that will screen at The Anthem on Monday has you covered. The 2019 World Series Documentary will chart the rollercoaster of a journey that led our hometown team to a genuinely amazing win. (The Anthem, 7 p.m., $35)

SANTA IS SIPPIN’: Holiday and real tiki drink enthusiasts will want to carve out some time over the next week to visit U Street’s Archipelago for their Sippin’ Santa Surf Shack. Beginning Monday evening, the tiki bar will expand to being open seven days a week and hosting a holiday-appropriate selection of drinks. Oh, and there will be some really cool mugs available for purchase as well. (Archipelago, 5 p.m., FREE)

NIFTY FIFTY: Legendary cook Rachael Ray is celebrating the release of her newest cookbook, Rachael Ray 50: Memories and Meals from a Sweet and Savory Life, with a book tour that will hit D.C.’s Sixth & I. In conversation with fellow chef Carla Hall, the self-taught cook and EVOO enthusiast will talk about some her new recipes, as well as reflect upon the 25 new personal essays included in the book. (Sixth & I, 7 p.m., $25)

TOUGH: Perhaps you’re ready for some tough love. Former National Security Advisor and Ambassador Susan Rice will be at Kramerbooks for a meet-and-greet event. Attendees will not only get a chance to talk to Rice, but will also walk away with a copy of her new book, Tough Love, which details her time under Presidents Clinton and Obama. (Kramerbooks, 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m., $30)

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 3

ENCHANTED: Holiday light display Enchant is officially up and running over at Nationals Park from now until the end of December. Claiming to be the world’s largest holiday light maze, the immersive Christmas cheer experience includes an ice skating trail, holiday half-smokes, Santa and Mrs. Claus, and seriously just so many lights. (Nationals Park, 4:30 p.m.-11:30 p.m., $20)

SINGALONG: If you’ve been waiting for your chance to bust out a perfect rendition of “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” you’ll have your shot on Tuesday night at DC9. In partnership with the People’s Choir, the monthly event turns its gaze in December to feature all of your favorite holiday songs.  Basically, imagine one giant singalong. After all, the best way to spread Christmas cheer to singing loud for all to hear. (DC9, 7:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m., FREE)

IT’S LIT: It can be hard to get tickets to the White House Christmas Tree lighting, so if you want a similar experience without all the fighting for tickets, you’re in luck. Union Station’s massive tree will go up this week with plenty of fanfare, including live music. (Union Station, 6 p.m.-7 p.m., FREE)

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 4

FIRST WOMAN: If you don’t know the name Kathryn D. Sullivan, you should. As the first American woman to walk in space, her name belongs among NASA’s best and brightest. As part of the Hubble telescope team, she also helped to make massive discoveries into some of the biggest mysteries of our universe. In honor of her book Handprints on Hubble: An Astronaut’s Story of Invention, Sullivan will visit the American History museum to discuss this and much more. (Smithsonian National Museum of American History, 6 p.m.-9 p.m., FREE)

JAZZY: Live holiday music is one of the best ways to get into the spirit of the season, which makes the St. Regis Hotel’s weekly Holiday Jazz event a perfect way to get into the swing of things. With weekly Wednesday shows all throughout December, there will be plenty of chances to get your fill.

POETIC: Looking to avoid holiday stuff but still want a live art performance? Look no further than the Pure Poetry DC Open Mic at the Ozio Rooftop. The headliner will be local performer Just Mike, but there’s also plenty of chances to step up to the plate and do a reading of your own. Regardless, come for what’s sure to be a spirited and inspirational evening. (Ozio, 8 p.m.-11 p.m., $8)

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 5

WIZARDRY: If you’ve yet to check out a Washington Wizards basketball game this season, you’ve been missing a lot. The Wizards have one of the best offenses in the NBA—and one of the worst defenses. In short: the games have been high-scoring, exciting affairs. Thursday sees the Zards matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers, the presumptive favorites to make the Eastern Conference Finals. Maybe Ben Simmons will even shoot a three … (Capital One Arena, 7 p.m., $20)

SHE & HIM: Indie rock families looking for a big holiday concert won’t want to miss duo She & Him at The Anthem on Thursday night. Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward will apply their talents to all of your favorite holiday classics, including some selections from their lovely 2011 album A Very She & Him Christmas. (The Anthem, 8 p.m., $46)

FATALE: Hailed as a platform for “womyn creatives an entrepreneur to collaborate in sharing their passions,” Femme Fatale DC will launch its latest pop-up market with an evening full of dancing and celebration. With tunes provided by DJ Blakberri, come and dance the night away. (401 Mass Ave NW, 7 p.m.-10 p.m., $15)

GODS AND MEN: The Spanish Embassy will present a special show called “Of Gods and Men” to celebrate the Baltimore School for the Arts’ 40th anniversary. Drawing on translated pieces from Spanish authors like San Juan de la Cruz, Calderón de la Barca, Miguel de Unamuno, Santa Teresa, and Irma Correa it will be a night full of experimental performances. (Former Residence of the Ambassadors of Spain, 7 p.m.-9 p.m., FREE with registration)
