As Metro gears up for this summer’s platform improvement project—a plan to repair platforms at the Vienna, Dunn Loring, West Falls Church, and East Falls Church stations on the Orange Line—two stations will be closed this weekend. Shuttle buses will replace trains at the Vienna and Dunn Loring stations on Saturday and Sunday. Trains between West Falls Church and New Carrollton will run every 12-15 minutes.
Things will be a little slow on the Red Line, where trains will run every 18 minutes between Shady Grove and Glenmont, and additional trains will run every nine minutes between Medical Center and Glenmont from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Plus, there will be single tracking between Grosvenor-Strathmore and Twinbrook as crews install cable and communication equipment.
The Silver, Blue, Yellow, and Green lines will be operating normally.
