WINTER LANTERNS: Although Lunar New Year has passed, The REACH is still in full celebration mode with 100 winter lanterns on display. The lanterns were crafted by Chinese artisans and are made up of 10,000 LED lights. On top of the light display, artisan demonstrations and food trucks will be on site. IT STARTED OUT WITH A KISS: How did it end up like this? Go back to your days of illegally downloading music on Limewire and jam to The Killers, Arcade Fire, The Strokes and more, complete with their music videos, at DC9 Nightclub. If you order tickets online, they’re free. (DC9 Nightclub, 11 p.m., FREE online or $10 at the door)
SPY FEST: Do you have what it takes to be a spy? Bring the whole family to the International Spy Museum to find out. Kids will be allowed to take a lie detector test (make sure you ask if they did their homework), fly a drone, and pick a lock, as well as explore the museum. (International Spy Museum, 6 p.m., $16)

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 1
EXTREME PIANO: Classical music fans, meet Brian Ganz. The internationally acclaimed pianist will be playing several compositions by Frédéric Chopin, broken out into five sections. Ganz will be celebrating a decade of performing Chopin’s works at The Music Center at Strathmore, so grab your tickets to enjoy a serious night of music. (The Music Center at Strathmore, 8 p.m., $10-$79)
BROCCOLI CITY PREVIEW: Dying to go to Broccoli City Fest but can’t afford tickets? Have no fear. The festival’s partners will be taking over the Club at Studio K at the Kennedy Center for a showcase of rising and established stars in comedy, hip hop, jazz and more. Expect a preview of the upcoming festival. (The Club at Studio K, 7:30 p.m., $15)
ICE ICE BABY: Back for its sixth year, The Yards is once again throwing Ice Yards, an adult-friendly winter party. This year, Ice Yards is partnering with the Polar Plunge Fundraiser to benefit Special Olympics D.C. Participants will be plunging into an above-ground swimming pool right on the boardwalk. If you don’t want to get wet, just know that the event will include live music, ice games, axe throwing, a jousting pit, ice carving and more. (The Yards, 1 p.m., $10)
ICE CREAM FOR BREAKFAST: Give yourself the breakfast of your childhood dreams at Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams in Old Town Alexandria. Their fourth annual ice cream for breakfast event will premiere their skillet cinnamon roll ice cream, sweet cream cheese ice cream with caramel sauce and a bunch of cinnamon. A local roaster will be on hand with coffee…topped with ice cream. (Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams Old Town Alexandria, 8 a.m., free entry)

FAMILY YOGA: Sun & Moon Yoga’s Arlington studio is providing the opportunity for parents to do yoga with their kids in a workshop focused on emotional well-being. The two-hour workshop will be guided by a licensed counselor and will combine yoga and mindfulness techniques that are age-appropriate for all. (Sun & Moon Yoga, 2 p.m., $50-$65)
SING KARAOKE: Escape Super Bowl madness by singing your heart out at District Soul Food. Karaoke Sunday is open to anyone and the restaurant’s full dinner menu and bars will be available all night. (District Soul Food Restaurant & Bar, 7 p.m., free entry)
A SECRET HISTORY: Join Ravenchase Adventures for a scavenger hunt through the Natural History Museum, complete with tacky prizes and clues. The first clue will be posted to the Facebook event page so keep an eye on it as this will be the starting location. While the museum itself is free, your ticket price will cover the hunt, prizes, and a cheap drink on Ravenchase. (Natural History Museum, 2 p.m., $30)
