As King George III predicted, “Hamilton” is back.

Though I would love nothing more than to have my final Hamilton references in print behind me, I must share that fans who want tickets to the musical’s return engagement at the Kennedy Center won’t have to wait for it much longer. The venue announced on Tuesday that tickets will go on sale to the public on Monday, March 9, following a sale to members a week earlier.

The last time Lin-Manuel Miranda’s blockbuster musical was in town, demand for tickets overwhelmed the Kennedy Center’s site. In winter 2018, patrons waited hours in line—both snaking in lines around the building and in online queues—for tickets. Some who participated in a similar members-only presale said the site placed them in premium seats at soaring prices.

According to Brendan Padgett, a spokesperson for the Kennedy Center, it should go differently this time: In 2018 the center used a service called Fast Find, which directed users to the best available seats first. (It’s kind of the ticket equivalent of sorting your online shopping results “Prices High-Low.”) They’ve scrapped that plan for this round. This time, Padgett says, “it’s very much how you normally purchase tickets for any Kennedy Center show,” with the ability to search for the seat you desire. The site also encourages patrons to make an account on the Kennedy Center site in advance.

Both current and new members are eligible for the members-only presale on March 2, Padgett says, and the center is not disclosing how many early tickets will be made available. Ticket prices will be released closer to the on-sale date. Both members and the general public are allowed to buy eight tickets maximum.

We do know that there’s another chance for tickets as low as $10, because, like last time, the touring production will be participating in the #Ham4Ham lottery, which offers a chance to score orchestra seats for a Hamilton.

Should other eager fans snap up tickets before you can, the production will make its way to Baltimore in June 2021. And if last year’s engagement is any indication, those seats might be easier to come by.

Hamilton runs at the Kennedy Center from June 16-Sept. 20. It’s pretty good!
