Traveling by Metro this weekend? Look out for station closures and track work along the Orange and Silver lines.
Shuttle buses will replace trains at Vienna, Dunn Loring, and East Falls Church, which will all be closed in preparation for a major platform improvement project coming this summer. Trains will operate every 16 minutes between West Falls Church and New Carrollton. Along the Silver Line, trains will pass through East Falls Church but won’t stop.
The Red Line will send trains every 18 minutes between Shady Grove and Glenmont, and every nine minutes between Friendship Heights and Glenmont from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Red Line trains will single track between Medical Center and Grosvenor, as Metro installs new cell service cables.
Meanwhile, the Blue, Yellow, and Green lines will have regular service this weekend, though, Blue Line trains will run every eight minutes on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
