On tap for this week in D.C. is your chance to see some wonderful women, see standup from local talent, and more.

MONDAY, MARCH 2

TAKE IT WITH YOU: One of 2019’s best, too-little-seen movies will get a second run at Suns Cinema on Monday night. Writer/director Joanna Hogg’s The Souvenir is a loosely autobiographic movie that follows a film student (Honor Swinton Byrne, yes, as in Tilda’s daughter) in a relationship with a troubled man (Tom Burke). What results is a compelling portrait of addiction that will stick with you long after it’s over. (Suns Cinema, 7 p.m., $11.50)

FIXER: Dr. Mark Hyman has a plan to save us all … by eating? In honor of his new book, Food Fix, the writer of the bestseller What the Heck Should I Eat? will visit Sixth & I to talk about how he paired the newest developments in both nutritional and environmental science with a deep dive into global food—while also providing solutions for people to make the world better and healthier. (Sixth & I, 7 p.m., $22 – $50)

ROCKERS: Athens rock band of Montreal will headline 9:30 Club in support of their 16th album, UR Fun. Written about his relationship with songwriter Christina Schneider, the album finds lead singer Kevin Barnes more vulnerable and open than he has been in the past. (9:30 Club, 7 p.m., $25)

MORE: Free Weekly Bar Bingo (Pizzeria Paradiso, 7 p.m.-9 p.m., FREE), Life Drawing (IA&A at Hillyer, 6 p.m.-9 p.m., $15),  The Social Hour: Game Night (Busboys and Poets, 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m., FREE)

The National Press Club will host a viewing party for those diehards who don’t want to miss a single moment—and will even have media members on hand for instant analysis. Cover will get you free dinner and one free drink. This is one of many watch parties around town that you can catch. (National Press Club, 6 p.m. – 11 p.m., $35

SNEAKY: If Super Tuesday isn’t your bag, might we suggest Supra Tuesday? Dio Wine Bar will host a preview of Tabla (the new Georgian spot from Supra’s owners), serving natural Georgian wines as well as dishes like khinkali, khachapuri, and more. (Dio Wine Bar, 5:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m., $50)
