With sunny skies and spring-like temperatures in this weekend’s forecast, you might be venturing out to get an early peak at the pre-bloom Yoshino trees, but beware of Metro disruptions as you embark on your #BloomWatch plans. The Vienna and Dunn Loring stations will be closed for preparations for extensive work (and closures) this summer to repair and reconstruct the Vienna, Dunn Loring, West Falls Church, and East Falls Church stations along the Orange Line. Shuttle buses will replace trains this weekend between Vienna and West Falls Church.

The Red Line will be running a bit slower, with trains every 16 minutes between Shady Grove and Glenmont, and additional trains every eight minutes between Farragut North and Glenmont. Trains will single track between Dupont Circle and Van Ness as crews work to install cell service in the tunnel.

And due to switch replacement between Georgia Ave-Petworth and Fort Totten, Yellow Line trains will only run between Huntington and Mount Vernon. Should you need to travel north of Mt Vernon Square, use the Green Line, which will run trains every 18 minutes, and will be single tracking between Georgia Ave-Petworth and Fort Totten.
