FRIDAY MARCH 12
AMANDA GORMAN: On Friday, head to Dupont Circle to view one of the District’s newest murals: a depiction of poet Amanda Gorman. The mural of the National Youth Poet Laureate was painted by local artist Kaliq Crosby and can be found on 17th Street Northwest. The image showcases Gorman reading her poem “The Hill We Climb” during President Joe Biden’s inauguration in January. (1608 17th St Northwest, Washington, D.C.; FREE)
NO MUGGLES: Start your weekend with an outdoor showing of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Expect drink specials, free popcorn, and a costume contest. (The Bullpen at Half Street Fairgrounds; 7 p.m.; $20)
