DANCING IN THE GARDENS: Hillwood Estate Museum & Gardens teams up with Dance Place for a movement-based performance commission and presentation related to the incoming sculpture from artist Kristine Mays. Attendees will be able to explore the grounds and the sculpture, as well as picnic on the Lunar Lawn before the performance from Krystal Collins/new growth collective at 7 p.m. (5:30 p.m., pay what you can)

THROUGH EBONY EYES: Hear from Vince Leggett, the founder of Blacks of the Chesapeake Foundation, on how Black men and women have kept the maritime industries alive on the bay for over 200 years.
