Concert goers rejoice! The long wait is over and live music is back in the DMV, with Events DC leading the charge. Events DC will be hosting a series of live concerts from July 22nd- July 25th with an all-star, energetic lineup. Robert Randolph and the Family band will kick things off on July 22nd with special guests, Dupont Brass. Followed by a night of Go-Go with local legends, Junkyard Band, keeping the party going on July 23rd. The celebration continues when Thievery Corporation enters the stage with electronic beats on July 24th. Closing out the series is international Latin pop star, Jason Cerda with special guest DJ Pedro Night. Every night of the series is sure to be a welcome night of high energy fun.

Events DC is pioneering the return of in-person gatherings, hosting a range of events at Entertainment & Sports Arena in Congress Heights. Home of the WNBA Champion Washington Mystics and Capital City Go-Go of the NBA G League, Entertainment & Sports Arena is also a hub for live music, having previously hosted artists including Mary J. Blige, Wale and Cage The Elephant. With an emphasis on community engagement, the Summer Concert Series is an opportunity for music fans and District residents to once again gather together and enjoy a diverse lineup of premier live entertainment.

Community engagement is at the heart of the summer concert series, with each artist in the lineup bringing their own unique flavor of community and comradery. After a difficult year of social distancing, this is something the DMV needs now more than ever. Whether it’s the Go-Go beats of Junkyard Band or the electronic vibes of Thievery Corporation, there’s an opportunity to come together and celebrate as a community for everyone.
