CIRCUS TIME: Take the kids for a night at the circus at the Circus Vazquez at Tysons III in Tysons Corner. FOOD TRUCK TOUR: In partnership with the Citi Open, Citi Taste of Tennis is launching an inaugural food truck tour, making its first stop on Monday at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. Each stop will feature a signature dish prepared by an all-star team, including Punjab Grill’s Jassi Bindra, Bidwell’s John Mooney, and more. OLYMPIC COLLECTIONS: In this virtual event, learn all about the Smithsonian’s Olympics collections from the secretarial scholar and curator at the National Museum of American History director of the museum studies program at the University of Delaware. FREE MUSEUM: The National Museum of Women in the Arts will be closing soon for a two-year renovation, but it’s extending free admission to everyone the week before to enjoy their exhibits, along with extended hours!

FRENCH OUTDOOR FILM: The French Embassy launches its free outdoor summer film festival, Films on the Green, with a screening of the 1996 documentary Microcosmos at the U.S. National Arboretum. The critically acclaimed doc explores the insect world. The film series, in partnership with the National Gallery of Art, will include future screenings at the embassy, the Sylvan Theater, Anacostia Park and the National Mall. POETRY SLAM: Enjoy a cocktail while listening to expert storytellers and slam poets at the open-air Root Family Stage at Olney Theatre in Olney, Md. RAGA FESTIVAL: The REACH at the Kennedy Center has another weekend full of programming on deck — this time, focused on the culture and heritage of India with live music, dance, film, and local art.
