JOYFUL FRIDAYS: Start off your weekend by joining the National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC) for this week’s Joyful Friday. FAMILY BIKE FEST: Show off your wheels on Saturday at Alethia Tanner Park for the Family Bike Fest 2021. BARK BRUNCH: On Saturday, head to Northern Bethesda to the Drag Show Brunch hosted by Bark Social and The MoCo Pride Center. The one-of-a-kind dog-friendly drag show will be hosted by Vagenesis!, and will feature Beats by DJ Frank J, Catherine Della Notte, Desire Dik, Nadia Cole, Siréne Noir, and Tiffany D. Carter. OUTDOOR FILM: Bring your blanket and head to Anacostia Park. This weekend, Films on the Green DC is showing I Am Not Your Negro, the move directed by Raoul Peck and based on texts by James Baldwin. COMEDY SHOW: Head to Lost Origins Gallery in Mount Pleasant on Saturday to catch some of the District’s best local comedians. BLACK BROADWAY: On Saturday, Briana Thomas (author of Black Broadway in Washington, DC) is partnering with Off the Mall Tours for a tour along U Street.
