STOMPING THE BLUES: Head to Color Burst Park in the Merriweather District for the latest installment in the Columbia Festival of the Arts’ dance party series. This week, dance away to soca and samba music from the local band MamboCombo. (6 p.m., FREE)
COMEDY NIGHT: Room 808 hosts its weekly comedy night with the best up-and-coming comics seen on Netflix, Comedy Central, and HBO trying out new material with local favorite, Dom Grayer, as host. Seats are limited, so you can buy a guaranteed spot ahead of time for $5. (8 p.m., FREE)

BOOK TALK: Listen to Anderson Cooper talk all about his latest book, Vanderbilt: The Rise and Fall of an American Dynasty. The Sixth & I in-person event, which also offers a virtual option, will focus on the epic American story of achievement and excess from Cooper’s mother’s family. (7 p.m., $40 in-person, $37 virtual)
HISTORICAL COMEDY: President Lincoln’s Cottage and DC Improv are teaming up again to present Two Faces Comedy, a series drawing inspiration from Abraham Lincoln’s legendary humor. The comedy show, with a theme of grief and loss, will transform the former president’s cottage into an outdoor comedy show with a cash bar. (7:30 p.m., $10)

EXHIBIT OPENING: Enjoy light bites and drinks while exploring The Silva and Latela Curatorial’s first exhibit grand opening. The exhibit is a new partnership between the luxury apartment building in Adams Morgan and the art consultancy firm. The gallery space, which now features Moments of Grace by Anne Marchand, will rotate out local artists. (6 p.m., FREE)
AFTER HOURS: Head to local food hall, The Block’s Annandale location for a concert from DMV-based soul and R&B band, Terra Firma. You can grab food and craft drinks to enjoy during the performance from the band, which debuted its sound at Union Stage. (6 p.m., free admission)
CHARITY DINNER: Dine with some of the Logan Circle’s best restaurants for a great cause and buy a $25 lunch, $50 happy hour, or $100 dinner take-out special from N Street Village’s Celebrate Logan program. The 10th annual restaurant tour will look different with takeout options highlighting Compliments Only, Cork Wine Bar, and Pappe, followed by a 7 p.m. virtual program from the D.C. nonprofit.
