/ Hungry Harvest

Hungry Harvest’s Festival of Goodness, coming to Culture House DC on November 13th from 12-6 PM, is all about coming together to celebrate the best in art, music, food and giving back. In this first installment of the family-friendly event, the fest will feature live music from Juan Wauters (NYC), Frass Green (DC) and Proper Nouns (Baltimore) alongside delicious eats and drinks from local food trucks and breweries. Proceeds from the event will be donated to local hunger-solving organizations Breadcoin and DC Dream Center.

As a way to provide equitable food access and a dignified shopping experience, Breadcoin acts as a currency and is provided to people who are hungry or food-insecure, whether chronically or situationally. Recipients can take the coins to participating vendors and use them just like cash, without stigma. DC Dream Center will be distributing the Breadcoins we donate to the local D.C. community.

Once inside the event, you can expect to find on-site screen printers from Soul & Ink live-printing and giving away free t-shirts, chef demos from local chefs, craft and herb-planting stations, and activities for kids (and their adults).

Outside in the courtyard, in addition to a great music lineup, you’ll find blender bikes from Wheely Good Smoothies to create your own free rescued produce concoction, you can participate in an interactive art wall, play games and shop the Hungry Harvest produce market.

Join Hungry Harvest and Culture House for a day of good food and good music to help raise money for a good cause!
