TWO SHOWS, ONE NIGHT: Smitty’s bar in Park View hosts polyamorous comedians Lily Kerrigan and Matthew Marcus to share their love story in an outdoor two-show event. First, “The Lily Show” is an hour-long stand-up comedy set from Lily, followed by an intermission, before Matthew performs a one-man show with tales of their relationship and the kinky world they’ve explored. WREATH MAKING: Prep your front door for the holiday and sip on beer at this fall wreath making class at Denizens Brewing Co. HANUKKAH PUPPETS: Get ready for Hanukkah with a production of Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins from the Puppet Co. Playhouse in Glen Echo Park. The show, following Hershel in his effort to lift the curse forbidding candle lighting, will be performed throughout the month — a special performance on the first night of Hanukkah comes with gifts for attendees. FALL FASHION: Join Common Thread at Union Market for an experiential shopping event combining creative arts and fashion from small women- and LGTBQ-owned businesses in the area. Attendees can shop from local vendors, see local muralist Rodrigo Pradel’s work, and enjoy live music. Admission is a donation to the Whitman Walker Foundation and includes refreshments. FRENCH CONNECTIONS: Learn more about the many connections between D.C. and our French allies in this Off the Mall walking tour. POP-UP MAGAZINE: Lincoln Theatre hosts the fall tour of acclaimed live show Pop-Up Magazine.
