POETRY READING: Tune into another session of the Folger Shakespeare Library’s O.B. Hardison Poetry Series, this time with Shara McCallum and Tamiko Beyer. These two poets write primarily about understanding and sometimes rewriting the past. Their virtual readings will be followed by a moderated conversation. (7:30 p.m., $15 suggested donation)
BIRTHDAY CONCERT: Head to the Kennedy Center Concert Hall for a tribute concert for Isaac Stern’s 101st birthday. Stern was a highly influential violinist during his lifetime, decorated with a Kennedy Center Honor, Presidential Medal of Freedom, and a handful of Grammy Awards. With Emanuel Ax on piano, Leonidas Kavakos on violin, and Yo-Yo Ma on the cello, expect a star-studded evening. (Kennedy Center, 8 p.m., $60)

WOMEN AT THE WHITE HOUSE: The White House Historical Association leads a virtual discussion about five untold stories of women in the White House in honor of Women’s History Month starting. Learn about enslaved and free workers, presidential daughters, and first ladies. (5 p.m., FREE)
ADVENTURE FILM: Live vicariously through brave women at the Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse’s Adventure Film Tour. These short films showcase real stories about adventurous women from around the world, including Australian Olympic champion Torah Bright and ultra trail-running champion Lucy Bartholomew. PREMIERE SCREENING: At Sixth & I, witness an advance screening of a master sommelier’s new CNN series, Nomad with Carlton McCoy. The classically trained chef travels the world to find food, music, art, and culture, including to D.C. In his first episode, McCoy explores go-go music and local food. ROM-COMS: If you’re a fan of You’ve Got Mail, catch Signature Theatre’s production of She Loves Me, the musical based on the same story that inspired Nora Ephron’s rom-com. In this version, two bickering shop clerks don’t realize that their secret, romantic pen pals are actually each other. Signature’s production runs through April 24.
