AZTEC SUN: This Friday, the District’s “funk with soul” ensemble Aztec Sun performs at the Hamilton Live. Seated tickets are sold out but , standing room tickets were still available at the time of this article’s publication. Mel Chanté will be opening the show. GOTHIC FAIRY TALE: Friday is the opening day — and world premiere!— of Tiffany Antone’s Twigs & Bone. The play is described as “part ghost story, part fairy tale, part fever dream” whose plot covers three days and three lifetimes. Please note that only eighteen audience members will be permitted per performance. (Caos on F; 7:30 p.m.; Pay what you can)

COMEDY ROAST: Kick off your weekend with Colosseum Comedy at City-State Brewing. The brewery will host a “roast battle,” complete with audience voting, featuring a lineup of local comics: Lil Vida, Angel Penn, Adam Coonen, James Carrigan, Reed Kelly, Lộc Nguyễn, Matilda Epstein, WiLL McKoy, and Adam Lax. (City-State Brewing; 8 p.m.; $10)

ENGLISH WITH AN ACCENT: GALA Hispanic Theatre hosts multidisciplinary, Venezuelan American artist Migguel Anggelo for a performance of his work, English with An Accent. The show is combination of dance, theater, and narrative storytelling. (Gala Hispanic Theatre; 8 p.m.; $40)

PIZZA PARTY: Sonny’s Pizza hosts Abbondanza!, a natural wine tasting and pizza celebration. The event will include unlimited pours, free pizza, and ice cream. ADULT EASTER EGG ROLL: Tysons Corner Center is hosting an Easter Egg Roll — but not for kids. Participants can expect boozy drinks, a live DJ, and prizes from some Tysons businesses. Please note that although the event is free, pre-registration is required. (Tysons Corner Center; 8 a.m.; FREE)

FARMERS MARKET: The Saturday market is back starting this weekend at Farmers Market SW, where you can load up on everything from local produce and fresh breads and pastries to pasture-raised meats. The market accepts payments including SNAP and WIC — and takes place at 4th and M streets SW, also the site of Market SW on alternate Fridays. (4th and M streets SW; 9 a.m.-1 p.m.; FREE)

BOOK SALE: Friends of the DC Public Library sets up shop at Petworth Library for their Spring Book Sale & Celebration. Book lovers can buy hardcover books for $2, paperback for $1, and kids books for just 50 cents each. Activities including face painting, story time, and a raffle. (Petworth Library; 10:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.; FREE entry with books from $0.50)

ODDISEE:  Hip hop artist Oddisee plays downtown D.C. in a show expected to include new music and some classic hits from the artist and his band. The night will feature live DJ sets before and after Oddisee’s performance. (Beverly Snow at Eaton DC; 8:30 p.m.; $15-$30)

SHARE A SEED: The weekend wraps up with Share a Seed Spring Planting Day at Upshur Community Garden. Participants can join in by sharing seeds, swapping plants, helping to prepare the garden, and visiting the Ward 4 Mutual Aid information and donation table. The event is hosted by Share a Seed and Slow Food DC. (Upshur Community Garden; 10:30 a.m.; FREE)

DC RECORD FAIR: Vinyl heads can head to Penn Social for the return of the DC Record Fair, which was last held in September. In addition to “tons of records,” the event will also feature guest DJs. (Penn Social; Early bird entry, 11 a.m., $5; General admission, noon, $2.)

SUN RA: The Sun Ra Arkestra 14-member jazz group, “legendary Afro-Futurist” artists, will play at WILD DAYS — the venue on the roof of the Eaton hotel. Arrive early for a free poetry jam hosted by Thomas “Bushmeat” Stanley. (WILD DAYS; Poetry jam, 2 p.m.; Show, 4 p.m.; $40-$50)
