Chris Evans and Ana de Armas have starred in many TikToks as they filmed their movie around D.C. this week.

Glimpses of actors Chris Evans and Ana de Armas filming in D.C. multiplied on social media this week, showing them in Georgetown and The Wharf.

How do we know that they made it to The Wharf?

Well, there are photos of them swinging on a bench that has a label between them that clearly says “District Wharf.”

They’re filming Ghosted, which Deadline describes as a “high concept romantic action adventure film” that’ll air on Apple+. Want more details on what that means? Us too. IMDB says the plot is “under wraps,” and other cast members include Adrien Brody, Amy Sedaris, and a very bearded Tate Donovan. (de Armas replaces Scarlett Johansson, who was initially cast in the role with her Marvel co-star.) Ghosted is an onscreen reunion for Evans and de Armas, who co-starred in 2019’s Oscar-nominated Knives Out.

Evans drew a big crowd of fans while filming in Georgetown, according to a TikTok that showed a group gleefully gathering behind a roped-off area as he walked by. Here’s the perspective of one of the people in that crowd:

In addition to being spotted filming in Georgetown and by the university campus doing some walking and talking with coffee, Evans and de Armas were also seen at what appears to be the Kennedy Center and, according to Popville, Ford’s Theatre.

This isn’t the first time one of The Chrises, a pantheon that includes Chrises Evans, Pine, Pratt, and (my favorite) Hemsworth, has filmed in D.C.  Pine, who once sang a song that tried to differentiate between them all, filmed Wonder Woman 1984 here in the summer of 2018.

And Chris (Evans, that is) is no stranger to D.C. He’s been spotted on Capitol Hill on a number of occasions, schmoozing with senators and pitching his “civic engagement app.”

The Daily Mail has a video of de Armas and Evans smooching at sunset on a boat at The Wharf. Somehow, a label that said “District Wharf” did not appear to make it into the shot.

This post has been updated to include information about Chris Evans’ previous time on Capitol Hill.
