Summer is in full swing and with upcoming weekend events like festivals, Pride, and more celebrations you don’t want Metro delays or shutdowns to rain on your parade. Here are the closures on the docket for Metro lines this weekend.

First, the bad news: five stations on the eastern end of the Orange Line will remain closed this weekend, as they have been since May 28. New Carrollton, Landover, Cheverly, Deanwood and Minnesota Ave stations will remain closed through Sept. 5 in the final phase of Metro’s Platform Improvement Project.

The Orange Line will operate between Vienna and Federal Center SW, at which point riders can transfer to the Silver or Blue lines to continue their trips — to a point. That’s because in addition to Orange Line interruptions, there will be no Blue/Silver line between Stadium Armory and Benning Road due to bridge work.

But as always, there will be shuttle buses. WMATA plans to run local and express shuttle buses from Stadium-Armory to replace trains on the Blue, Orange and Silver lines where stations are closed.

Here’s more from WMATA:
