Another weekend, another roundup of Metro closures and delays.

Thanks to single tracking, trains on the Green and Yellow lines will run every 24 minutes, and Red Line trains will be running every 10-20 minutes. Five Orange Line stations between Stadium-Armony and New Carrollton remain closed as a part of Metro’s Platform Improvement Project — which is expected to continue through Sept. 5.

If you’re heading out this weekend, here are the Metro delays to be aware of:

Red Line:

  • Single tracking between Silver Spring and Wheaton, due to switch replacement.
  • Trains will run every 20 minutes between Shady Grove and Glenmont. Additional trains will operate between Shady Grove and Silver Spring, for combined service every 10 minutes.

Yellow and Green lines:

  • Trains running every 24 minutes
  • Single tracking between Georgia Ave and Fort Totten.

Blue Line:

  • No train service between Stadium-Armory and Benning Rd. Shuttle buses will be provided.
  • Due to bridge repairs, trains will operate in two segments: every 20 minutes between Franconia-Springfield and Stadium-Armory and every 18 minutes between Largo Town Center and Benning Road.

Orange Line:

  • Trains every 10 minutes, between Vienna and Ballston only; transfer to Silver Line to continue trip.
  • No train service between Stadium-Armory and New Carrollton.
  • New Carrollton, Landover, Cheverly, Deanwood, and Minnesota Avenue stations are closed.
  • Local shuttle buses will run every 15-20 minutes, between New Carrollton and Stadium-Armory.
  • Express service will run every 10-15 minutes. Express 1 will run limited stops at New Carrollton, Landover, and Stadium-Armory, and Express 2 will run limited stops between Deanwood, Minnesota Ave and Stadium-Armory.

Silver Line:

  • Due to bridge repairs, trains will be operating between Wiehle-Reston East and Stadium-Armory only every 20 minutes. Shuttle buses will connect to the Blue Line to continue trips.
