Blue and Silver lines will bypass Capitol South from opening until 7 p.m. this weekend.

Metro trains are glitter and sparkle free after Monday’s Lady Gaga concert. Maybe it was Mother Monster or just a little bit of luck, but the Blue and Silver lines are finally done with repairs between Stadium-Armory and Benning Road. However, one step forward is another step back because from opening until 7 p.m., Blue and Silver line trains will skip over the Capitol South stop due to an escalator replacement project.

The Red Line will be running slow this weekend, too, due to crosstie renewal and single tracking. In addition, Metro’s Platform Improvement Project continues to close stations on the Orange Line. Free shuttle buses are still available for the five closed platforms.

The Yellow line will also be experiencing interruptions and delays due to Metro’s Yellow Line Tunnel Bridge and Rehabilitation project. Trains will only operate between Huntington and Reagan National Airport, so riders must continue their trips via the Blue line. Any riders traveling between L’Enfant Plaza and Greenbelt are encouraged to use the Green line.

Red Line

  • Trains every 16 minutes.

Orange Line

  • Trains every 10 minutes, between Vienna and Ballston.
  • New Carrollton, Landover, Cheverly, Deanwood, Minnesota Ave & Stadium-Armory Metro stations will be closed.
  • Local shuttle every 15-20 minutes, stopping at New Carrollton, Landover, Cheverly, Deanwood, Minnesota Ave & Stadium-Armory.
  • Express shuttle No. 1 every 10-15 minutes with limited stops: New Carrollton, Landover & Stadium-Armory
  • Express shuttle No. 2 every 10-15 minutes with limited stops: Deanwood, Minnesota Ave & Stadium-Armory.

Silver Line

  • Trains every 20 minutes.
  • Trains will bypass Capitol South, passing through the station without stopping, from opening until 7 p.m.
  • Shuttle buses replace Metro trains between Stadium-Armory and Benning Road.

Blue Line

  • Trains every 20 minutes.
  • Trains will bypass Capitol South, passing through the station without stopping, from opening until 7 p.m.
  • Shuttle buses replace trains between Stadium-Armory and Benning Road.

Yellow Line

  • Trains every 20 minutes.
  • Trains operate between Huntington and Reagan National Airport only.
  • Riders traveling between L’Enfant Plaza and Greenbelt, should use Green Line instead.

Green Line

  • Trains every 12 minutes.
