Fans of the beautiful game, rejoice! The final match of the men’s FIFA World Cup is here, and it promises to be epic: a game between defending World Cup champs France and powerhouse Argentina, led by all-time great Lionel Messi.
The teams meet on the pitch on Sunday at 10 a.m. Eastern time — and if your excitement is at a fever pitch, you’re probably looking for a place to watch the game with other fans on the same emotional journey. (D.C.-region soccer enthusiasts have been doing so throughout the Cup.)
So, of course, we made a list of some watch parties for anyone who wants a safe space to cheer allez les bleus! or vamos Argentina! You can also find our roundup of places that have been devotedly screening the whole thing here.

Del Sur Cafe
2016 P St. NW
The South American restaurant is bringing more than just Argentinian cuisine this weekend – they’ll also host a watch party for the final World Cup match. Reservations are limited and be forewarned: Tables will only be held for 15 minutes with this hot ticket. The restaurant will be open at 9:30 a.m.
El Patio
5240 Randolph Road, Rockville
This Argentine restaurant has a clear favorite to win on Sunday. El Patio has been hosting all of the Argentina games of the World Cup, and are promising a special menu for the final. Doors open at 7 a.m.
Embassy of France
4101 Reservoir Road NW
Tickets are likely to go quickly for this watch event, which, if 2018’s event is any indication, should be a hell of a party. The event is free and there’s a cash bar this year. Doors open at 9 a.m., and no entry will be allowed after 10:15, so don’t be late.
Hill Country
410 Seventh St. NW
The French ex-pat association Union des Français de l’étranger is throwing this watch party, so you can probably guess who they’ll be rooting for. This is the spillover party, of sorts, for the group — their main event at nearby Penn Social is already sold out. Reservations at Hill Country don’t guarantee you’ll get in, and organizers recommend arriving at the restaurant around 8:45 a.m. to snag a spot.
Malbec Boutique Argentine Steakhouse
1633 17th St. NW
Reservations to watch the match are already full up at this Argentine steakhouse in Dupont, but the waitlist is still open. Doors open at 9 a.m.
Lunas de Buenos Aires DC
1276 5th St. NE
Whether you’re in the mood for empanadas, sandwiches, or Argentine pizza, Lunas will be open at 9 a.m. for the game.
