SWING DANCE: Monday is the first night of the next beginner and intermediate swing classes at Chevy Chase Ballroom. The course lasts eight weeks (it ends on Feb. 27) and will run every Monday. STORYTELLING: On Tuesday, head to Union Stage for Story District’s storytelling event “Firsts & Lasts.” The performers will explore stories that explore “bringing in the new and letting go of the old.” ASL interpretation will be provided and attendees can expect a full bar (plus salads and pizza) for sale. TEXTILES: On Wednesday, George Washington University’s Textile Museum is hosting “The Textile Museum Journal: Early Nasca Textile as a 365-Day Calendar.” The virtual event (via Zoom) will feature contributing scholar Lois Martin discussing her research of the “Brooklyn Museum Textile,” a nearly 2,000 year old textile. ATTORNEYS GENERAL (MUSIC): Check out Attorneys General on Wednesday: a musical project by Matthew Byars of the District’s The Caribbean.
