It’s Not Austria, But: Vienna Restaurant Week (in Virginia, not Europe) kicks off today and lasts through March 12. Around 50 eateries are participating, including Anita’s and Lily’s Chocolate and Coffee. Three-course prix fixe menus will be $25 for lunch and brunch, and $35-$40 per person for dinner. PURR-FECT FAMILY FUN: Who has time for a basic cat? This Friday book talk is all about Supercat, who stars in the latest addition to Nick Bruel’s children series Bad Kitty. Bring your kids for some feline fun. (East City Bookshop; 5 p.m.; free)
CRAFT-IVISM: If your favorite store is Michael’s, you’ll appreciate this symposium exploring what craft means for our future. ILLUMINATING ART: A new art exhibit at The Honfleur Gallery dives into the long relationship between martial arts and the African diaspora.
