SCULPTURE VIEWING: In the lead-up to Passover and Easter, the Studio Acting Conservatory opens its doors for another viewing of its 20-feet-wide Last Supper sculpture. Created by artist Akili Ron Anderson in the early 1980s as a commission for the New Hope Baptist Church, the artwork, recovered by the National Museum of African American History and Culture, depicts Jesus and his disciples as African American men. SHAKESPEARE @ LIBRARY: DC Public Library kicks off its month-long Searching for Shakespeare festival with Folger Shakespeare Library. Commissioned to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the printing of Shakespeare’s First Folio, “Our Verse in Time to Come” features an emcee diagnosed with dementia trying to arrange his estate shortly after getting out of prison. This year’s lecture features Azar Nafisi, a best-selling author, who will focus on government in the U.S. and Iran.
