The annual spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank have kicked off. Shareholders of the large international lenders will discuss pressing questions about climate change, global poverty, and international conflict at their Foggy Bottom headquarters. And as a result, D.C.. residents will have to deal with road closures and parking restrictions. Here’s what you need to know if you’re planning on driving or parking in and around Foggy Bottom, Dupont Circle, and downtown this week.
From Sunday, April 9 until Sunday April 16, you won’t be able to park on the following streets/curbs:
- H Street from Pennsylvania Avenue to 20th Street Northwest
- 19th Street from Pennsylvania Avenue to G Street Northwest
- Pennsylvania Avenue from 19th Street to 1924 Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest (south curb only)
- G Street from 19th Street to 20th Street Northwest (north curb only)
Additionally, until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 16, H Street between 19th Street Northwest and 20th Street Northwest will be closed to vehicle traffic.
And from 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 11 to 10:00 p.m. Friday, April 14, the below streets will be closed to vehicle traffic:
- H Street from Pennsylvania Avenue to 20th Street Northwest
- 19th Street from Pennsylvania Avenue to G Street Northwest
As always, you can find up-to-date information about street closures at the Metropolitan Police Department’s traffic-focused Twitter account: twitter.com/DCPoliceTraffic.
