HARRY POTTER TRIVIA: Test your wizarding world knowledge with Harry Potter trivia. This event will focus exclusively on the Sorcerer’s Stone book but in the future you’ll be able to test your knowledge of the series’ other installments. (The Board Room; 7 p.m.; FREE)

MY MAMA AND THE FULL SCALE INVASION: Ukrainian playwright Sasha Denisova’s new play explores the present-day war and global crisis in Ukraine. Inspired by online chats with her mom, Denisova weaves a tale that gives the audience a taste of the frontlines of Russia’s invasion. The show will run until October 8. PERFECTLY ACCEPTABLE: George Mason University’s Fenwick Gallery will be showing a new exhibit, starting September 13. Perfectly Acceptable features work from Chicago-based small press comics publisher Perfectly Acceptable Press. ESPEJOS: CLEAN: In Vancouver-based playwright Christina Quintana’s latest work, two women from very different worlds end up at the same Mexican resort and are forced together by unusual circumstances.
