11th Street Bridge Park’s “mussel beach” play area pays homage to the Anacostia Watershed Society’s work to improve river water quality.

In the 1860s, African Americans worked by lamplight to build homes in Barry Farm and Hillsdale. A community walk celebrated that history on Saturday.
