After a day of contradictory messages, organizers of the 17th Street High Heel Race announced that Hurricane Sandy had forced them to postpone the annual event until Thursday.

They’ve raced down 17th Street in rain and bitter cold, but Hurricane Sandy might force organizers to call off tomorrow’s High Heel Race.

Tonight will certainly be a fantastic night to celebrate one of the District’s most endearing Halloween traditions: the High Heel Race.
