Mt. Pleasant mainstay Haydee’s is asking D.C. regulators to allow it to stay open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

With a new fiscal year upon us, the District will use the upcoming three-day weekend to try out a very important new bit of policy: permitting bars to stay open 24 hours.

Last week two D.C. restaurants announced that they were scrapping late-night hours. That’s OK—D.C. isn’t a 24-hour type of town, at least not yet.
