Karaoke Returns to the Galaxy Hut

Ask, and you shall receive. Karaoke night at the Arlington hipster hangout the Galaxy Hut is back by popular demand. Lary Hoffman, the Hut’s new owner, brings back the much loved, and missed, karaoke evening on the first Thursday of the month starting tonight at 9 p.m. For those of you that have frequented karaoke night at the Hut in the past (and this DCist is one of them) you know what we’re talking about….

John Irving at the National Press Club

Since last night, when John Irving decided to grace the National Press Club with his (commanding) presence and promote his new bestselling novel, “Until I Find You.” On Monday evening, over 400 fans packed into the NPC’s Ballroom to listen to the author of “The Cider House Rules,” “The World According to Garp,” and “A Prayer for Owen Meany,” read aloud…
