In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage month, one stand-up comedian is putting the spotlight on their community.

Events include a live bartending competition at Maketto, cocktail classes at Moon Rabbit, Mahjong at Sparrow Room, and live karaoke at The Game DC.

For Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, this group held a hula performance – one which was once outlawed in Hawaii.

The night market is hosted by Chef Kevin Tien of Moon Rabbit and will feature more than a dozen other local AAPI chefs and makers.

Cooking demos featuring AAPI chefs, the Spring Fashion Fête and the debut of the latest “Everyday DC” student photo exhibit are on the agenda around D.C. this week.
