Amsterdam Falafelshop To Franchise

It’s true — we love Amsterdam Falafelshop. One of the city’s more optimal quick/drunk/comfort foods, the Falafelshop a must-stop for any adventure into the dark wilderness that is 18th Street NW on a weekend night. Amsterdam Falafel Now Accepts Euros

Everyone’s favorite falafel joint in Adams Morgan has always screamed European. Obviously with the name, Amsterdam Falafelshop, the Dutch mayo, and pictures of the Netherlands pasted all over. But now they’re going European in one more way. Amsterdam Falafelshop now accepts payment in Euros. Is it a sign of the increasing value of the Euro, which is now worth $1.50 USD? M’Dawg Haute Dogs: Condimentastic

This post is by DCist Contributor Eddie Kim “A hotdog is a hotdog.” Audacious–if not strange–words coming from Tony Tabdili, co-investor and gourmet hotdog slinger at M’Dawg Haute Dogs in Adams Morgan. We thought this photo of Georgetown at dusk, snapped and Photoshopped by DCBlogs’ Patrick Thibodeau, captures D.C.’s August haze and heat. Reader Services Department: A reader wrote to us last week asking us to post a link to a Craigslist posting about his stolen…

Anarchists Strike Adams Morgan

Wow, we thought Inauguration-related protests had run their course, but we learn from the Post that anarchists went wild in Adams Morgan late Thursday night. This DCist was eating at the Amsterdam Falafelshop on 18th Street and we didn’t sense that much was going on. But we guess we were distracted by our fries and falafel to notice that post-Counter Inaugural activities were getting out of hand on the streets. From the Post: Self-described…
