House Panel Approves Continued Filming Near Capitol
The House Appropriations Committee approved today an amendment that would continue to permit film production companies to continue to shoot in Union Square.
Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton would like the U.S. Capitol and its surrounding office buildings to become more friendly toward visitors from Hollywood. She’s asking her colleagues to allow film production on more parts of the Hill.

Film Production at Union Square Gets Reprieve
Union Square, which some feared would be closed off to film production after jurisdiction over it was transfered from the National Park Service to the Architect of the Capitol, will remain open to commercial photography and filmmaking.
