MPD Arrests More Alleged Members of KGB Graffiti Crew

The MPD’s war on graffiti continues — over the weekend, the Fourth District and Fifth District Vice Office of the Metropolitan Police Department announced that it, in association with personnel from a U.S. Marshalls Task Force, had arrested five suspects, at least four of which are allegedly members of the Krazy Graf Brothers, or KGB, graffiti crew.

Street Artist Removed From Workshop After Arrest

Yesterday, we reported on the arrest of Asad ULTRA Walker, a street artist that police allege goes by the moniker “MAR5” and one MPD Sergeant called “a leader and founding member of the ‘KGB’ graffiti crew that dates back to at least the early 90s.” Our report noted that Walker was scheduled to lead a lettering workshop as part of a series of summer workshops hosted by the D.C. Public Library today. That’s no longer the case.

Street Artist Arrested Days Before Hosting Lettering Workshop At Public Library

This morning, news came that District police had arrested Asad ULTRA Walker, a street artist that police allege goes by the moniker “MAR5”, on Sunday morning.
