Cal Ripken Jr. Addresses Mother’s Kidnapping
Cal Ripken Jr. addressed publicly today the recent kidnapping of his 74-year-old mother, who was abducted last week from her home in Aberdeen, Md. and later found after being missing for a day.
Vi Ripken, mother of Baltimore Orioles Hall-of-Famer Cal Ripken Jr., was abducted yesterday from her home in Aberdeen, Md., police said. She was found unharmed early Wednesday.
Stephen Strasburg, Gio Gonzalez and Ian Desmond will represent the Nationals at the Major League Baseball All-Star Game later this month, and it’s possible that Bryce Harper could join them.

Over $1 Million in Play for Special Elections
Candidates in next Tuesday’s special election to fill two open D.C. Council seats have collectively raised over $1 million in the course of the campaign. For Nationals fans among the 1.6 million Comcast subscribers in the area, the wait is over. After an acrimonious 15 months of squabbling, Comcast and MASN have settled their differences.
