The Tune Inn, the venerable pub which was forced to close after a fire broke out inside its kitchen on June 22, has no shortage of supporters. It’s no surprise, then, to hear that a fundraiser for the bar’s wait staff has materialized.

Over the course of dozens of interviews with many of the District’s most talented jazz artists, it becomes clear that one attribute that separates D.C.’s jazz scene from those of other cities is the sense of community among the musicians.
