University of Maryland Found to Have Violated Open Meetings Law During Big Ten Decision
Naughty naughty University of Maryland! A state board concluded this week that the university’s Board of Regents violated the state’s open meetings law when it decided to join the Big Ten conference late last year.
In a memo to the University of Maryland community today, President Wallace D. Loh justified the school’s move to the Big 10 from the Atlantic Coast Conference as one in its athletics program’s best economic interest.
