Kevin Spacey Takes Capital Bikeshare For A Spin
Oscar winner Kevin Spacey is in town today to deliver the Nancy Hanks Lecture on Arts and Public Policy to a Americans for the Arts’ annual Arts Advocacy Day. But before delivering the speech at the Kennedy Center this evening, Spacey stopped by the White House for a tour — and check out how he was getting around. Spacey posed in front of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue on top of a Capital Bikeshare bicycle, joking on his Twitter account that his tour “had a very small carbon footprint.”

Capital Bikeshare Opens For Business
The New York Times called it a “new phenomenon.” Greater Greater Washington trumpeted that it “will change everything.” Mayor Fenty talked about his big head. All part of the hype surrounding today’s grand opening of Capital Bikeshare, which replaces SmartBikeDC and promises more than 100 bike sharing stations in the District and Arlington featuring over 1,100 sharable bikes for area cyclists.
